what happens if the Thread Initializtion API throws some exception

I am doing some Initialization in Thread initialization event provided by smart thread pool.
We intend to throw an exception in the threadinitialization event. In case of an exception the thread should abort.
Can you please suggest the solution for this?

And I observed that FireOnThreadInitialization API is called ouside of the try block in ProcessQueuedItems API of SamrtThreadPools class. What happens if this API throws exception? Is there any specific reason for it? Is there any side effect if we place it in try block?

Thank You.
